We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our supporters, listeners, and followers out there. Thank you for being with us on this podcast journey. 100 anything is quite a feat. What happens when you have 100 conversations about success principles? This week’s episode is about reflecting on the things we already know… and the dangers of taking them for granted because of how well we know them! We coaches find ourselves in a special setting for this week’s episode… on Lake Norman during our mid-year coaching retreat. We reflect on our 100-episode journey so far… and where we see this podcast going in the future. Again, we hope you enjoy these conversations, and we thank you for being here!
Why is it that when we have highly emotional, high-stakes conversations, we perform at our worst? This week, Coach Jon Z and I tackle the most controversial topics we could come up with to prove that our approach to CRUCIAL CONVERSATIONS works! There are 3 ingredients to crucial conversations: - High emotions - High stakes - Opposing opinions We were unscripted and uncensored during this week’s #truthseekers conversation talking about gun control and abortion – 2 of the most highly charged topics in the forefront of our worlds today. The Fool’s Choice is feeling like you have to choose between being honest and keeping a friend. That just simply isn’t good enough for us. We want a better way. Watch as we create safety in the conversation before debating the finer points of each topic. - What do I want? - What do I want for the other person? - What do I want for the relationship? Let’s dive in…
Can growth feel good? Might you be associating growth with uncomfortability? If yes, then this conversation is for you! Growth and comfort are 2 sides of the same coin - yin and yang. We cycle back and forth like a pendulum, enjoying brief moments of equilibrium, only to swing further towards one direction vs. the other (growth vs. comfort). What is that phenomena? How can we hack it so that we make more progress, more smoothly? What is dynamic equilibrium? The coaches have their analogies on point during this week's #truthseekers conversation as they walk through what exactly goes on during our path to achievement in business and in life.
This week’s #truthseekers conversation is a continuation of last week’s conversation about the coaching path. Whether or not you have decided to invest in coaching, this episode is for anyone who feels like they are leaving something on the table. What we mean by that is: there is more. You are capable of more. There is more to achieve, more quickly. There is another level you have yet to unlock. You have reached your potential only to discover there is more potential beyond that. There is no outcome without the journey. There are no shortcuts. Check out Part II of this conversation to see what we mean…
Are you willing to take the next step? That’s really what success is, isn’t it? Progress. Our journey to achievement is made up of dozens and hundreds of tiny steps. The difference between extremely successful people and people who accomplish very little is miniscule! Highlight those things. Make them important. Since they are so simple, we are at risk of breezing right over them and taking them for granted. On this week’s episode of #truthseekers, Coach Nick walks us through the Exploratory Phase of the coaching process. The importance of slowing down and directing our focus towards the things we achieve not only creates the space to achieve more, but it affirms the path we are on. It clarifies where we are headed. “Clear is kind. Unclear is unkind.” See what else you pick up from this week’s episode of #truthseekers
As your success grows, the models you must adopt to achieve more must become simpler. Think about it... leverage trumps effort every time. Your efforts are only needed to establish enough momentum to where you reverse the flow... have your work, work for you. You must do more more more more more, then all of a sudden, you must figure out a way to do less. This is just part of what we talk about on this week's episode of #truthseekers. How unstoppable might you become if you slowed down and actually DEFINED what success meant to you? Let's discuss...
"The more reps you put in, the less you can see the impact of the reps you put in." "Even with my certain things, I am still open to a blue blade of grass." "If you're not convicted to lead with the beliefs that you have, what you're saying is that I'm trusting a future version of me more than now; and that version will be better so I can't be who I am until I'm the next version of who I am, and tomorrow never comes." 4 levels of learning: 1. Unconscious Incompetence 2. Conscious Incompetence 3. Conscious Competence 4. Unconscious Competence We let this week's episode of #truthseekers speak for itself. Please enjoy some of our favorite quote, quips, and takeaways above, and dare to immerse yourself in the REAL thing by watching the full conversation!
What's the story you're telling yourself? Sometimes we find ourselves having lousy days, or days that we're low energy, or days that we're not getting results that we want. It is inherent upon us to reflect when we have those days, and think about the story we are telling ourselves. Where are we playing the character in those stories? What are our attributes? And how much influence and control do we have over our stories into the future? On this episode of #truthseekers, we talk about metabolic, emotional, and energetic flexibility, and we talk about the control and the power we have over creating what winning looks like. If we don't define what winning is, do we even have a chance? We hope this special episode of #truthseekers Coach's Corner w/ Coach Nick Davies, and myself, Coach Josh Greco.
Coach Nick and I break down the science of expansion on this week's episode of #truthseekers. We break down the shift in consciousness when we experience "crazy" on a consistent basis... or when we experience "busy" on a consistent basis. For example, when we experience something crazy for 10 days in a row, is it still crazy? Likewise, if we are busy for 10 days in a row, are we still busy? We break it down in this week's conversation!
"The more that we achieve - the more that we accomplish - so, too, expands our capacity... our potential." Stretching what we are capable of is like blowing up a balloon... sure, the air could go out. But the balloon will never go back to the way it was. The same is true with what we are capable of. As we sit here today, we are as capable as our past experiences allow us to be. Therefore, we must conclude that more experience expands our capacity and potential - especially the ones that stretch us. Embrace the stretch. On today's special edition of #truthseekers Coach's Corner, Coach Nick and I offer a different perspective when it comes to manifesting your future life. How far into the future can you see? We challenge you to see farther!
