Do you ever think about living a life that others expect of you? Have you already left that life? This week’s #truthseekers guest Josh Painter experienced this in his 20’s – living the life others expected of him. And then he left it. It was his 30 birthday that served as his turning point. Divorce, moving, and leaving a job he didn’t love all happened as a result of Josh making a CHOICE to be the driver of his own life. We are excited to share the full conversation about Josh’s journey taking the wheel. You can find out more about Josh at www.Bestversionever.com Enjoy!
“The great shortcomings of the human race is our inability to understand exponential functions.” If you’re anything like us #truthseekers, you are constantly seeking ways to improve – to get that edge! Something happens as we upgrade… we run into more limiters. So what do we do? If we do nothing, we become comfortable with the results we are getting. Unacceptable. The more momentum we create with our progress, the easier it is to keep going. And now we are talking exponential returns… I ask Coach Nick, isn’t the point of making progress to enjoy it? To be comfortable? Enjoy the beginning of Coach Nick’s response here, and click on the link for the full episode to hear the conversation that ensues.
Being present in the moment. Why are so many people adopting this mentality nowadays? It might be helpful to first define the opposite… NOT being mindful (or present) means your mind drifts to another area of your life. It means you’re not focused on what you’re doing, what’s in front of you. You’d rather be doing something else. When you’re present, your attention goes 100% to the task at hand. Your capacity to fulfill a goal or achieve a result is exponentially increased in proportion to your ability to remain focused on one thing over a duration of time. This week’s #truthseekers guest Mike Hartman, a Stanley Cup winner for the New York Rangers who played ~500 professional ice hockey games and who also represented the United States on national teams, walks us through his mindfulness process. There are 3 phases: 1. Mental toughness and mindset 2. The physical (having a ritual) 3. The nutrition We coaches are excited to share the rest of our conversation with you. What’s Mike’s Gold Paint Theory? What does Mike define as the “definition of life”? What’s the first thing Mike does in the morning? Check out the full conversation!
Haven’t we all had that feeling where we aren’t motivated to do ANYTHING?! Sometimes (usually) that happens on Thanksgiving. Is it… might it be… is there ANY way to get things done… when we aren’t motivated?! Leverage leverage leverage. When was the last time you used leverage in a scenario where maybe you didn’t want to do things? All the time! “There always leverage if we’re willing to find it”, says Coach Nick. Here more… check out this week’s full episode! It takes an interesting turn about half way through – see if you can pick up on it…
"Any feeling felt all the way through is bliss" is a quote from Joseph Campbell that this week's #truthseekers guest Chase Tolleson reminds us of. What did he mean by this? Chase shares his perspective of the passing of his brother. Wow. The rest of our conversation focuses on how we as humans, and men in particular, deal with our feelings. "What do we do with our feelings?! Hide them in our muscles!" We have a good laugh at this mantra, and then focus on the more serious parts of being the creators of our own lives (quantum reality, reticular activating system, dispelling victim mentality, and so much more). Primal Man Pathway is Chase Tolleson's lifestyle brand. Click the link to check out more about Chase and his brand, and don't forget to watch this week's full episode. "The work is a lot easier than it seems". 1. Start. 2. Keep going. Thank you, Chase.
Have you ever committed to something for a full year? 52 weeks. 365 days. That’s a lot! How does one make a massive change like that? What’s the secret? What’s the success principle? As we know, one of the quickest ways to change your results is to change your environment, whether that be your physical setting, or the people with which you surround yourself. In this episode, Coach Josh did NEITHER! And he still accomplished this massive change. How? “I didn’t change my environment; I changed the way I was perceived in that environment.” As Coach Nick puts it, “it’s the same place, but the weather is different.” We dive a little bit deeper on how to change our own “blueprint”, and the process by which that happens over time… eventually a full 365 day period. …and eventually, the implication that has for the NEXT 365 day period!
Have you ever wanted something badly, only to realize it wasn’t what you thought it was once you got it? There is something interesting that happens when you realize – when you become – what you are after. The consciousness of the desire drops. One more time; the consciousness of the desire goes away. Think about that… and watch our conversation this week as we dive deep!
The Fool’s Choice: if I am honest, I am going to lose a friend. Whenever we cover up the way we truly feel, ESPECIALLY in the name of saving someone else from feeling a certain way, we move further away from our true power. So what do we do? How do we address the Fool’s Choice? How can we be honest about the way we feel? How can we live in our true power? “I’m going to be honest, and I’m going to get everything I want.” It starts with the right frame. You’ll have to watch the conversation with Coach Jon Zieve to learn more of what you can practice to accomplish these things. We’ll give you a hint as you tune in: 1. Questions 2. Forgiving Yourself 3. Loving the feelings you’re afraid to feel in your heart Special thanks to Coach Z for shedding his light on today’s subject!
“Competition is for losers” is a quote by Peter Thiel, a billionaire entrepreneur. Where does that quote land with you? As this podcast is about discovering truth, Coach Nick and I frame this week’s conversation around BIG VISION. We know we don’t need to have all the answers, the processes, or the procedures for how to accomplish our long-term goals… The execution part comes with an understanding of the principle of how to get there. Part of this is identifying our ideal clients. And as Peter Thiel sees it, once we identify our ideal clients, we realize they are no one else’s ideal clients… even our “competitors”. Watch and listen how Coach Nick and I come at this topic from an abundance mindset vs. a scarcity mindset, and how that creates the opportunity to avoid “competing” with others. We choose to play our own game. One we will always win!
Are you playing in INFINITE game or a FINITE game? Coach Z navigates us through a conversation about meaning and purpose on this week’s episode of #truthseekers. We hit the Fool’s Choice; we cover choosing the truth vs. choosing a friend; we talk about our own meaning and purpose; and we co-create so much more on this week’s episode – enjoy!
