"Continuous improvement is in my DNA" ~ #truthseekers guest Tamar Nelson. Drawing from the industrial and systems knowledge she accumulated in Japan, Tamar now makes it a point to always go to “Gemba” or the shop floor, enlisting and empowering those who work within the system/organization to improve operations continually. Using this knowledge at an organization in Jamaica, this group was able to raise 2.5 million USD of savings in one year through a handcrafted improvement methodology. She now aims to recreate this achievement within every organization she is involved by building frameworks that yield results. She remains committed to reengineering any problem by way of converting complexity into simple solutions for clients, and having fun while doing it. To further explore her passion, Tamar has founded and host The COO’s Corner Podcast, the podcast exploring success factors in the world of business operations.

How intentional are you about the objects in our environment? When does Coach Nick lean towards action over structure (*hint: always)? What does the drive look like from Charlotte to San Diego (and why would we even be talking about that)? And finally, how important is it to be precise in your actions when it comes to BIG HAIRY AUDACIOUS GOALS we are shooting for 10 years down the road? Watch this...
Are you playing your own game? Or are you playing someone else’s? On today’s episode of #truthseekers we talk about how to achieve great things. We ask better questions to get better answers. We talk about the dangers of bad affirmations… and the power of good ones And we talk about the bridge of beliefs – the journey of doing the extraordinary is built upon the consistent actions of doing the routine. “Don’t give your future self your current beliefs” is a great quote from Coach Nick I am taking from today’s episode. And how about a quote takeaway from Conor McGregor: "we're not here just to take part, we're here to take over!" Have your ears perked up for this one… it was a good one - enjoy
We are sponges in the morning. And we seem to be at our lowest point of stress right when we wake up (our problems haven't manifested yet!)... So why not stack a few good habits and get a BOOST to the rest of your day? This week's conversation with #truthseekers guest Todd McCullough was that, and so much more. "There has to be a deeper why, and a deeper meaning to what we do," says Todd, a former D1 football player at the University of Florida. What this has turned out to be is "giving people a daily connection to working out, and to God each day". Of course we're referring to Todd's TMAC 20: 20 minute workouts. No equipment. No excuses. Where each workout ends with a brief meditation, AKA the MIND RIGHT MEDITATION. We discuss frequently on #truthseekers the importance of integrating the body with the mind throughout our lives. Perhaps no one embodies this more than Todd McCullough, who has helped more than 20,000 people get in shape and get their mind right from home. Needless to say, our conversation was enlightening - enjoy! Find out more about Todd and TMAC FITNESS at https://www.tmacfitness.com/
WOW'ing people - what does that mean? How would you do it? What is the reasoning and how might it benefit you? And what would you give someone as a gift who owns a private jet - is it still possible to WOW someone who seems to already have everything? Today's #truthseekers is all about going above and beyond for your clients. This is something more than just servicing your client to the best of your abilities. It's standing out from the crowd so that your competition remains in the background. Listen for a great reminder along the way from Coach Nick about the importance of self care, and the principle that we can't do for other that which we do not do for ourselves. We must fill our own cup before we can think about extending abundance to others.
When you're feeling lousy, are you focused on the person you are now, or are you acting in favor of the person you want to be in the future? Holding the standard = not letting yourself off the hook. And the question above is a great reminder that we not only live in the present moment, but our actions in the present are continually sculpting our future. This might seem a little heavy to grasp, "if you hold the standard when you don't want to, that's where you get the most value", so that's why Coach Nick and I have an entire conversation around this subject. So many of our #truthseekers topics focus on how to achieve success. This week's conversation is a good shake up for how to handle feeling lousy... and feeling lousy is something that no one is immune to!

What's the BIGGEST vision of your future self you can think of? What's the absolute BEST version? What do you do? Who are you? Do you have more money? Are you physically stronger? Are you more loving? Less resentful? Travel more? Are you healthier? It gets to a certain point where you must pick between being a thinker or a doer. You can be both, but once should calibrate the other; because if you're "thinking" prevents your "doing", you've got problems... or rather, your problems will remain the same. See, what happens is when you allow the "doing" to drive the "thinking" (and not the other way around), miracles happen. You begin to capitalize on opportunities more swiftly. Your friend "hesitation" isn't allowed to rear its ugly head. You become a creator of the events, the people, and the world around you. And you move in a state of flow. So how can this be? What happened? When you're a doer, you're only a step away. And if your mentality combines with your instinct and your gut, there's no stopping you. Obstacles are merely stepping stones to what turns out to be what you would have desired more greatly anyway. And then the VISION. When you're in that state, and you've got a good bit of proof behind you that the "doer" is a rewarding space to be, you can begin to conjure up bigger and better things to take full advantage of the "doer" mentality. Used in unison together, well... check out this week's episode for our deeper dive into just this!
